  • About Troy Theobald

Born and raised in sunny Queensland, I started out as a financial planner and accountant at a Tweed Heads firm. Under the guidance of a senior adviser, I cut my teeth building client investment portfolios before moving into asset structure and protection.

RFS Advice was born when a BRW top 100 Accounting firm gave me the opportunity to build a financial advice division within their company.

Since then, RFS Advice has grown into something I’m incredibly proud of. We’ve built a team of specialists who are passionate about what they do and genuinely care about our clients.

My approach to building the business has always been to deliver straightforward advice: keep it real and make it achievable. After all, the best financial plan is one you can actually follow through with.

Yes, we need the technical skills, the systems, the processes and the team that can deliver, but it all starts with understanding what each client wants.

I host the 4CRB radio show Retirement – Living Your Way. I also volunteer and am the Father’s Club President at St Hilda’s, where I launched a scholarship program.

Our family go-to holiday is Disney theme parks – we’ve racked up 71 days in total.

My most memorable experience was skiing Snowmass – 3,000 acres of massive mountain terrain with the family. Most adventurous was to drive a Formula Ford on a race track.
